How Old Can the Ford Be for Us to Be Able to Service It?
We usually service Ford vehicles that are made in 1980 and onward.
However, we can also replace the windshield on vintage Mustangs (1964 on). We will need a single day to obtain the windshield for you, and the replacement process will take about two hours at the most. It takes two hours as we have to use a special glue to seal the windshield properly.
The windshields for the new Ford models usually come with some additional features:
- The windshields are heated
- Forward colision warning system
- Rain sensor
- Lane departure system
If your car has those features, you need to inform us so we can install the windshield correctly. We will need to calibrate your windshield.

What Is the Average Price to Replace/Repair a Ford Windshield?
It all depends on the model of your Ford vehicle, but the average price is somewhere between $225 and $600. For example, the repair/replacement process for a Ford Focus windshield costs between $200 and $400.
The average cost for an old Ford, like the Mustang from the 1960s, is between $200 and $300.
Most new windshields come complete with moldings, but with the Ford Explorer, we usually have to replace the side molding. Some of these windshields also come with a little bit of adhesive and screws, and in some models, Ford Explorers come with the lane departure system as well.
How Long Does It Take to Replace a Ford Windshield?
To perform a complete replacement a typical Ford windshield, it will take us about an hour or an hour and a half.
The manufacturers of the glass we use for these windshields are Ford, Pilkington, PGW, FYG, and XYG.
Some people ask if it takes longer for the Ford Econoline model, but the process is very similar to other models, which is why it usually takes us about the same time to complete the job.
