Tips
Practice Backing Up
If you’re new to hauling a trailer or RV, it might be a good idea to practice backing up before you go on a long journey. Find an empty parking lot and practice getting your trailer in between parking spaces. The way a trailer swivels as you turn can throw the most experienced of drivers off!
Think Like A Bear!
What do bears like? They like food! They also like interesting smells and scents. If you’re taking your trailer or RV out to the woods, be sure to store food and fragrant items in a bear box or in a bear can. Bears can easily break into RVs and trailers if they smell something yummy inside.
Prep For At Home Parking / Storage
If you have to wedge your Heartland into a tight spot, check for branches or other protruding objects that can knock out a window. We do run across these unfortunate incidents from time to time!
