Tips

  • Watch out when backing up! – Backing up a travel trailer is no easy task for first-timers! That means your rear and side windows are potentially in danger of getting broken. Yep! We’ve seen windows get broken by our customers backing into objects. There can be blind spots when backing up and you end up running into things you didn’t expect or see.
  • Yum! What’s in here?! – It’s really easy to forget to put food away when you’re camping in the woods. In certain places where bears are active, they can easily sniff and find out that your food is inside your trailer. Please take all food and anything that has a scent (toothpaste, lotion, deodorant, etc.) and put it in a bear box or a bear canister. Even small black bears can rip open your trailer to find out what’s inside.
  • Threats from above! – There’s nothing better than taking your RV out into the wilderness, finding a great place to park it for the night while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Just be sure to look above your trailer for potential risks. Some national parks and forests have trees that like to drop huge pine cones and branches from damaging heights. It’s rare, but it can happen.
