Prolite is a Canadian company that sells to both the U.S. and Canadian markets. The story goes – the president Martin wanted an RV that he could tow with his Honda Civic. At the time, there wasn’t a lightweight RV that could be towed by a Civic. So Martin set out to launch a RV company that could achieve this feat. They have been at it for over 20 years, striking a balance between material choice, aerodynamics and innovation.

Interesting Trivia
Prolite chassis are made with steel and not aluminum. This has to do with rigidity. To get the same rigidity Prolite would have to use beams that were twice as thick. So that effectively means not much weight savings and twice the material required. Additionally, interfaces that require steel would contaminate each other.
